This is the estimate by Power Systems Research of the number of Utility Vehicles to be produced in North America (Canada, Mexico and the United States) in 2020.
DataPoint This information comes from industry interviews and from two proprietary databases maintained by Power Systems Research: EnginLink™ , which provides information on engines, and OE Link™, a database of equipment manufacturers.
Market Share: With combined plant totals of 32%, Polaris leads in production of utility vehicles in North America. Polaris has plants in Mexico and the US. In second position is Honda with 13%, followed by Deere with 12%.

Mercedes-Benz Focuses on Autonomous Driving Trucks
Daimler has realigned the focus of Mercedes-Benz on autonomous driving. Instead of self-driving cars, trucks are now at the top of its priority list.
Dalibor Sablic The German car maker initially planned to concentrate on autonomous cars, explained Daimler CEO Ola Kallenius in a conversation with journalists at the canceled Geneva Motor Show. The group believes that self-driving trucks are initially the more attractive area, says the Daimler boss, according to the news platform news.com.au.

Moscow Boat Show 2020 Much Different than Previous Years
MOSCOW–The Moscow Boat Show conducted here March 5-9 in the Crocus City Expo center occupied two exhibition halls with total square of 19,000 sq.m., but it was much different in several ways than previous shows.
Maxim Sakov The number of boats shown was 30% less than during last year’s event. And the organizers of the show left a lot of empty space even in the dedicated halls. This looked strange because often there were only narrow passages between boats.
Surprisingly, more than 50% of the boats at the fair were produced domestically. Jeanneau, Beneteau and some other brands were also here, brought by a local dealer, but in smaller sizes and numbers than last year’s show. Some EU and Turkish shipyards exhibited at the fair, but did not bring anything besides marketing materials.

Foton To Produce Trucks in Brazil Again

2020 Wheel Loaders/Dozers Production Forecast: 20,200
This is the estimate by Power Systems Research of the number of Wheel Loaders to be produced in the United States in 2020.

Market Share: With combined plant totals of 47%, Caterpillar leads in production of Wheel Loaders/Dozers in the United States. In second position is Deere with 22%. Third, is Case New Holland with 8%.
Exports: Collectively, up to 35% worldwide
Trends: In 2018, production of Wheel Loaders/Dozers in the United States increased 3.3% over 2017. The increase in 2018 is attributed to record mining related activities that is also the prime reason for the 2019 decline. Production in 2019 dropped 3.6% from 2018. The decline also is attributed to Tier 4 engine regulations and new machine designs that significantly increased machine cost. To offset this increase, new products deliver greater production and improved profits.
The machines are designed to carry an array of materials for construction, industrial and mining applications. Production is expected to fluctuate over the next 3-5 years based on global economic factors and conditions; we could see a gain up to 5%. PSR
