    Power Systems Research estimates the Global Golf Cart Market to be $1.84 billion in 2024 and expects this market to reach $2.81 billion by 2032, growing at a CAGR of 5.65% during the forecast period.

    Market Demand Drivers. Theincreased popularity of the game of golf by senior citizens, women, and juniors has increased the demand for golf carts. The increased use of these eco-friendly electric vehicles by government and industry also has pushed demand.

    • Sustainability and Environmental Concerns. Governments, golf courses, and consumers increasingly are emphasizing the need for eco-friendly alternatives. Electric golf carts, with their lower emissions and reduced environmental impact, meet these concerns.

Battery-powered lawn and garden equipment can now match the power of traditional gas-powered lawn and garden equipment. Some brands now have available 56V which is more than double what was the standard power available. Batteries now charge quicker, last longer, and can hold a charge indefinitely.

  • 2023 Domestic MC Shipments Increase 4%

    Domestic motorcycle shipments increased for the first time in two years to 376,720 units in 2023, up 4% from the previous year. Class 2 mopeds, which have relatively low maintenance costs, performed well, increasing 47% year-on-year. The shortage of semiconductors and the easing of logistics disruptions also contributed to the increase in shipments.

    Class 1 mopeds (50cc and below) fell by 29% to 92,824 units. Class 2 mopeds (over 50cc and under 125cc) were up 47% to 149,655 units, light motorcycles (over 125cc and under 250cc) were up 16% to 66,630 units and small motorcycles (over 250cc) were down 6% to 67,611 units.

    Motorcycle purists either love them or hate them, but electric motorcycles are fast becoming a popular reality.  From daily commuters to off-roading to track racing, we’ve seen all kinds of electric bikes hit the road over the past couple of years. There’s an increasing array of e-bikes catering to riders of all shapes, sizes, and kinds coming to market.

    Here is a small sample of some of the leading OEMs and their electric motorcycle products.

    Can-AM/BRP. The first Can‑Am motorcycles are expected to hit the road before the end of 2024. The Canadian Can-AM team is testing bikes in all possible usage conditions, and early feedback from test riders is that two new models deliver a powerful and smooth riding experience. The models include the Can-Am Origin dual-sport and Can-Am Pulse street bike, both slated to launch in mid-2024. Both models are still undergoing testing while construction is underway for a new plant in Querétaro, Mexico, which will produce the electric bikes.
