India Commercial Vehicle Demand Recovers

Aditya Kondejkar India’s commercial vehicle (CV) market showed a clear improvement in August 2026, supported by freight movement, infrastructure activity and replacement demand. The recovery was broad-based, with major manufacturers reporting stronger sales across their commercial vehicle portfolios.

Demand for heavy trucks has improved as freight movement and infrastructure activity support higher vehicle utilization. This also indicates that the recovery is not limited to last-mile or small commercial vehicles.
