CONEXPO 2026 Offers Trend To Smart Machines
LAS VEGAS—Power Systems Research (PSR) sent a team of analysts to the CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 Show to talk with exhibitors and about the state of the industry and to learn more about new products.
You can read their impressions of the show, their takeaways from talking withexhibitors and attendees about the state of the industry, and the information they gathered about innovative new products.
Interestingly, the PSR team didn’t see big movement to battery power. They saw more hybrids and hydrogen power moving forward. Battery seemed to be relegated to smaller machines.

CONEXPO 2026 Shows Hybrid Power Gear
LAS VEGAS—Many visitors to the CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 show here March 3-7 arrived from the cold and snowy Midwest and East Coast. The show exhibit areas covered 2.9 million square feet; with some of the exhibit areas being outdoors attendees felt the warmer than normal temps this time of year where Las Vegas had a record temperature of 86F on March 1. Those warmer temperatures lingered throughout the week.
This year’s show at the Las Vegas Convention Center drew an estimated 2,000 exhibitors and while attendance figures were not available as we prepared this report, observers said traffic was very heavy and attendance was expected to surpass the record 139,100 figure set at the last show in 2023.

CONEXPO Provides NA Market Outlook

Lorena Violante We talked with many industry representatives at CONEXPO, and we generally heard that the North American construction equipment market is performing relatively well and that it is expected to experience low single-digit growth in the near term, with demand remaining stable. Demand continues to be supported by infrastructure investment and ongoing construction activity.

Boot 2026 Shows Strong Shift To Outboard Power

Natasa Mulahalilovic Boot Düsseldorf 2026 welcomed more than 200,000 visitors over nine days (Jan. 17-25) and hosted about 1,500 exhibitors from 120 countries. The show was about the same size as that of the 2025 event, but last year’s show drew exhibitors from only about 67 countries.
Boot once again confirmed its position as the world’s leading indoor boat show. The event covered the entire spectrum of the marine industry, including motorboats, yachts and superyachts, catamarans, sailing boats, outboard and electric boats, engines, power generation systems, equipment and components, as well as touristic services, charter companies, and boating clubs.

Agritechnica 2025: The Rise of Smart, Hybrid Efficiency

Emiliano Marzoli The Agritechnica 2025 trade show, held under the guiding theme “Touch Smart Efficiency,” cemented the industry’s focus on integrating digital intelligence with advanced hardware to achieve higher yields while ensuring environmental and economic sustainability. The primary trend was the transition of alternative power and robotics from concepts into commercially available, high-performance machinery.
The 2025 show was bigger than the previous show in 2023–there were more attendees (476,000 vs. 470,000) and exhibitors (2849 vs 2812) and more countries represented (171 vs. 149). The total space for the two shows was the same–394,000 sq in 24 halls at the Hanover Exhibition Center in Hanover, Germany. The bi-annual show ran Nov. 9-15.

Manufacturers focused heavily on hybridization, automation, and engine efficiency: -
MODX 70 Offers Luxury and Eco-Responsible Sailing

Natasa Mulahalilovic No other boat has pushed the boundaries of green yachting as far as the MODX 70, winner of the 2025 Multihull of the Year award for its advanced, intelligent vision of zero-carbon sailing, announced at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
The concept was introduced in 2008 and finally brought to life in 2025 through the combined efforts of Ocean Development, VPLP Design, Aeroforce, MG Energy, Madden Tech, and many other visionary partners.
The project has earned recognition from the French government under the France 2030 Plan, receiving support through the i-Nov competition for sustainable and intelligent mobility in 2021, which helped fund the ambitious and costly development.

Bauma China Demonstrates New Technology

Dalibor Sablic The Bauma CHINA 2024 trade show, held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from November 26-29, showcased a significant evolution in the global construction machinery industry. The event expanded to 330,000 square meters, featuring 3,542 exhibitors from 32 countries and attracting 281,488 visitors from 188 nations, a remarkable recovery from the pandemic-impacted 2020 edition.
This year’s exhibition highlighted trends such as electrification, sustainable technologies, digital innovations, and intelligent system integration. Chinese manufacturers like Dingli, LGMG, and Sinoboom demonstrated dominance, presenting groundbreaking products in new energy and hybrid solutions, while the presence of Western manufacturers was notably reduced.

Electric Boats at 2024 Cannes Show

More than 600 exhibitors from the marine pleasure industry showed off their latest models of boats, yachts, marine equipment and other products and services at the 47th annual Cannes Yachting Festival, Europe’s biggest in-water event, just closed its doors. The event ran Sept. 10-15.
An estimated 50,000 visitors attended the festival and got an excellent note for organization from all participants and visitors. The next year’s edition will be held Sept. 9-14, 2025.
The electric marine market has been very dynamic in the last 10 years and electric products and accessories were very popular at the show. Investments in research and development of new technologies and their implementation into boats have been extremely high.

PSR Is Looking Forward To INTERMAT 2024
PARIS—The 2024 edition of INTERMAT, the International Exhibition for Construction and Infrastructure, is coming up soon. The four-day show will be held at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center 30 minutes from Paris April 24-27, and Power Systems Research will be there.
INTERMAT is a leading trade show that brings together close to 1,000 industry exhibitors from the construction and infrastructure sectors worldwide. It showcases the latest equipment, materials, innovations, and technologies in the global construction industry.
PSR team members will attend INTERMAT to gather information from exhibitors and attendees on the newest products and industry trends.
