PSR Is Looking Forward To INTERMAT 2024

PARIS—The 2024 edition of INTERMAT, the International Exhibition for Construction and Infrastructure, is coming up soon. The four-day show will be held at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center 30 minutes from Paris April 24-27, and Power Systems Research will be there. 

INTERMAT is a leading trade show that brings together close to 1,000 industry exhibitors from the construction and infrastructure sectors worldwide. It showcases the latest equipment, materials, innovations, and technologies in the global construction industry.

PSR team members will attend INTERMAT to gather information from exhibitors and attendees on the newest products and industry trends.

India EV Market Provides Opportunities and Challenges

EDITOR’S NOTE: The 5th Annual TWF (Two Wheeler Forum) took place on Feb. 21 and 22, 2024, at the India International Convention & Expo Centre in Dwarka, New Delhi. Hosted in partnership with Trak N Tell, the event spotlighted aspects of the Indian two-wheeler and three-wheeler industry, spanning both electric and internal combustion engines.

The landscape of electric vehicles (EVs) in India is undergoing a transformative shift, with the recent 2 wheeler, 3 wheeler, and EV show held in Delhi showcasing the industry’s dynamic evolution. Despite constituting less than 1% of total vehicle sales, the electric vehicle sector holds immense potential, and is projected to grow to over 5% in the years to come. Currently, the Indian roads host over 5 lakh electric 2 wheelers and a modest number of electric cars. However, the market’s growth trajectory remains subject to fluctuations, predominantly influenced by governmental incentives.

2023 Cannes Yachting Festival Sets Records

The 46th Cannes Yachting Festival was the largest one ever, hosting 610 exhibitors and 705 boats. The Cannes Yachting Festival remains the largest and the most visited European pleasure boat show organized on the water.

The show’s organizers said the event has never hosted that many motor and sailing, mono and multi hulls, outboard boats, ribs and semi-rigid boats, tenders, electric, hydro-foiling, and other types of boats. 

The show ran Sept. 12-17, offering six days of meetings and exchange with boat builders, engine and equipment manufacturers, designers and architects and other professionals from the pleasure marine industry.

The event hosted by a beautiful Mediterranean Cannes attracted 55,000 visitors coming from more than 130 worldwide countries. As usual, it was organized in two locations in the city, Vieux Port and Port Conto des Cannes. Motorboats and yachts in all sizes and with all propulsion types were displayed at the Vieux Port and sailing yachts and catamarans at the Port Canto des Cannes.

PSR Participates in SAE Brazil Mobility Forum

For the fifth consecutive year, Power Systems Research (PSR) will participate in the 20th SAE Mobility Forum in Curitiba-PR. This year’s event will be held Sept. 12and 13 at FIEP (Paraná State Industries Federation) auditorium.

This Forum brings together the most important companies in the Medium Heavy Vehicles and Off Highway Vehicles in Brazil. Originally, the event was called “Diesel Forum,” but with the new technologies of propulsion in the key segments covered by the forum, it changed its name to “Mobility Forum” in 2020. PSR Senior executives in South America are frequent speakers at the event, and support high level discussions on future trends and current challenges. PSR

CONEXPO CONEXPO 2023 Features Hydrogen, Electric Equipment

Walking CONEXPO 2023, the giant international construction show in Las Vegas this month, it was obvious that OEMs are devoting huge amounts of resources to developing alternative power sources for their compact equipment.

Hydrogen powered units and battery packs were common and new products powered by alternative energy sources were popular with attendees. New technology was the name of the game at this year’s show.

However, there were several prototypes that were built only for the show, according to some exhibitors, and were not likely to be put into mass production anytime soon. In fact, one manufacturer told us, “This was manufactured for the purpose of the exhibition and is not intended for mass production.”

FENATRAN 2022

The 23rd edition of FENATRAN, the International Road Cargo Transport Trade Show, brought together more than 500 brands in the exhibition pavilion of São Paulo Expo, Nov. 7-11, and generated total revenue of about USD 2 billion, more than USD 200 million than the last edition of FENATRAN, held in 2019.
