Katie Hendricksen, a senior at First Baptist High School, Eagan, Minnesota, is the recipient of the 2019 Power Systems Research $2,500 academic scholarship.

Hendricksen will use the scholarship to study computer science at Bethel University, St. Paul, MN.

"My favorite subject is computer science," says Hendricksen. "It's fun and I can share what I have learned through community outreach."

She participates in the school's robotics program, and she says she loves to ice skate and play the ukulele in her free time.

Power Systems Research has been supporting high school science and engineering programs for many years.

One of programs it funds is the Experimental Vehicle Team at St. Thomas Academy in suburban St. Paul, MN. The school successfully competes in international competitions with high schools and universities to build the most energy efficient vehicles.

Last year, it won its class in international competition in London.     PSR
