    Katie Hendricksen, a senior at First Baptist High School, Eagan, Minnesota, is the recipient of the 2019 Power Systems Research $2,500 academic scholarship.

    Hendricksen will use the scholarship to study computer science at Bethel University, St. Paul, MN.

    "My favorite subject is computer science," says Hendricksen. "It's fun and I can share what I have learned through community outreach."

    She participates in the school's robotics program, and she says she loves to ice skate and play the ukulele in her free time.

    MOSCOW--This year, the Moscow Boat Show looks sad. It uses only one hall in Crocus Expo fair center here, down from two or three halls few years ago.

    The show runs March 8-11, and show organizers say more than 20 000 visitors are expected to attend and more than 250 companies from around the world will take part, but those estimates may be high.

    Japan and the European Union (EU) held summit talks in Brussels July 6, 2017, and concluded an economic partnership agreement (EPA). Trade rules such as facilitation of customs clearance procedures and protection of intellectual property rights also have been unified under the agreement. Japan will align with the Europeans side to make the agreement effective in 2019 and will promote the importance of free trade to the world.
